Abstract
The Quality of Woman’s presence and their use of urban space is an important issue in Iran’s society. In traditional society ,woman had no social role. Iranian cities have been designed just for men’s activities and ignored women’s attendance. but today traditional social organization has changed. woman in new context have found new social roles and activities in community. So it is important that urban spaces it must be developed for women’s presences.
In this research we want to enhance urban spaces in Iran by qualititive guidelines . our main value is ”improving women’s social presences in urban space”. Therefore upon the next goals , we prepare our guidelines for Iranian’s urban spaces:
•Improving safty and security for women in public space
•Encouraging women’s participation in decision –making and design process
•Considering women’s perception like “ethics of care &value of everyday life - connectedness & inclusiveness - value of subjectivity & feeling – value of complexity & flexibility”
At the end our guidelines will recommend for the layers of city’s form base on above goals.
